During a winter trip to Russia in 1992, Jim Harrison, a Philadelphia native, witnessed first-hand how people suffer due to insufficient medical care. He also recognized how he could alleviate this suffering through donated hospital supplies and logistical support from the United States government. Shortly thereafter, Jim started collecting and shipping medical supplies for charities.
In 2001, Jim established Mission Relief Services. Since the organization’s inception, Mission Relief Services has witnessed significant growth and expansion, filled a gap in global aid, and warmed hearts around the world.
